Running

Running is one of my extreme weaknesses. I try to jog/run, but to no avail. I make it like 1/4 mile then i get "bored" or "unmotivated"or my body just STOPS, and all i can muster up is more walking. I envy those that can partake in this past time, i want to trip joggers as they whip by me when i'm "briskly" walking in the park (not really).

A member of my FH's family just ran the Philly Marathon. Her first one, trained for only 2 months and viola! She ran when she was pregnant the whole nine yards (not the marathon just in general). Last night i heard another coach on my fitness team ran a 26 mile marathon and didn't train at all! she just used P90X! I'm jealous, envious, mad at myself, and mad that i live in a cold weather local. It seems when winter blows in is when i feel this extreme urge to go running/jogging, but it's just too cold for my ears, lungs and eyes. Ok so i can cover up my eyes, and ears, but the lungs?? i'm thinking that might hinder life in some way lol.

CoachWill @ willtogetfit.com wrote an article about beginner running. It's very good and he has links to all sorts of great information. I was very impressed with his desire to help me with my little dilema. Now i just wish i can somehow get a warm enough day to try it out! OR maybe i'll just wait until after the wedding and i can make that a focus since i won't be wedding planning anymore. (boring!)

Has anyone been in my situation? and if so, what did you do to rectify it? any good articles or tips? Please share!
