T minus 4 Days

Until the TurboFire Challenge starts!!! Looking forward to the accountability!

06/30/10

Last night was a rest night. Thankfully, because i needed to get some stuff done. Like reading, grocery shopping, i had to stop by my BFF's house to drop off some P90X recovery formula because she severely pulled her tri-cep muscles during a sculpting class at the gym.

I'm going to jump on my soap-box for a moment. She was new to class, and this trainer/instructor knew this. Now, i'm not a CPT or an instructor, but i probably would have given her a little more attention while instructing to make sure she was ok and/or using the proper weights, as a beginner. In fact, i probably would have had her go weightless and worked her way up to weights because the tricep routine she had her doing was for advanced people! She WANTED her to start with 10 lbs, but common sense set in and she decided instead to use the 5 lbs against what the instructor told her to use. That even proved too heavy and now she has injury.

ok i'm off.

Tricep injury is no fun. if anyone that has over-worked or injured that muscle you know how painful and uncomfortable and restrictive it could be.

The poor thing was shaking last night when i saw her, and not because she was frightened, that's how bad her muscles were hurting. I'm hoping that the recovery formula helps for faster recovery. I know it worked for me while i was on the P90X program, but i also didn't injure myself that severely either.
